Austria, Imperial. A First War Period Austro-Hungarian Patriotic Badge, An irregular shaped badge constructed of die stamped zink, the obverse bears the portrait of General Oberst Boroevic, circumscribed with “GEN. OBERST BOROEVIC WELTKRIEG 1914-16” the reverse is plain and bears a vertical soldered pinback and maker marked “ARKANZAS BP”, measuring 27.96 mm (w) x 36.35 mm (h); Germany, Imperial. An Emperor’s Day Donation for Soldier’s Homes Pin, 1917, A circular pin constructed of aluminum, the obverse bears a central black iron cross encompassed by a star of David in white bordered in red, on a larger black background, surrounded by a white border reading “DEUTSCHES SOLDATENHEIM” (GERMAN SOLDIER’S HOME), the reverse bears the inscription “ 27 JAN 1917 KAISERTAG SPENDE FÜR SOLDATENHEIME” (EMPEROR’S DAY DONATION FOR SOLDIER’S HOME), with two attachment prongs, measuring 30.36 mm; An elongated pin constructed of bronze and multi-colored enamels, the obverse centre bears a red enamel cross on a white enamel background, the left and right sides are flanked with a “K” and “P” on a light blue enamel background, the reverse is plain and bears the number “171”, missing the pinback, but bears the round wire catch, measuring 43.70 mm (w) x 23.46 mm (h), all fine.
