(Patriotische Abzeichen). A mixed lot of three First World War patriotic badges, including:
1. A first war year Central Powers badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse bearing a central black enameled disc overlaid by a silvered inscription of “GOTT STRAFE ENGLAND 1915” (“GOD PUNISH ENGLAND 1915”), surrounded by German, Austrian, and Ottoman flags joined together by dates “1914-1915”, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 24 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
2. A general Central Powers badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a central silvered and black enameled Austrian eagle, flanked by German and Ottoman flags, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 22 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. A first war year badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a central black enameled Cross Pattée, bearing dates “1914-1915” with a royal crown and monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, flanked by tapering silvered bars which culminate on each side by raised oak leaves, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, marked “DEPOSE”, measuring 45 mm (w) x 12 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. Also accompanied by a German-occupied Russian zone 5 kopek coin,constructed of magnetic metal, bearing a date of “1916”, measuring 27 mm in diameter, demonstrating minor surface oxidation throughout, in very fine condition.
