Germany, Imperial. A Pair of Colonial Troops Insignia, with Long Service Decoration
(Insignien). A mixed lot of three insignia, including a rare Schutztruppe (Colonial Troops) cap plate, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an Imperial German eagle topped by a State Crown, the reverse with two lugs, unmarked, measuring 75 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Schutztruppe shoulder board, constructed of a dark navy blue wool base with a card stock core, topped by interwoven gold bullion wire chain link-style piping, and pinned with a silvered bronze six-pointed star and classic colonial-style imperial eagle button, the reverse bearing an integral strap, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 105 mm (l), in extremely fine condition, and; a Prussian Long Service Clasp, II Class, constructed of silver, affixed to a backer with a period original ribbon, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 28 mm (h) overall, weighing 11.3 grams, with fraying evident to the ribbon, in very fine condition.
