(Pfeifenkopf). A pipe head (also referred to as the stove), constructed of painted porcelain, the obverse presents a scene of military life of three Reservists standing under an archway, topped by Resv. Heidemann in black paint, followed by a German poem, the reverse presents a scene of civil life where the Reservist is represented in a couple, walking with a woman on his arm, above reads SO IST DER DIENST AM SCHÖNSTEN! (THIS IS THE SERVICE MOST BEAUTIFUL!), below the scene is the name of his unit (6th Company, Infantry Regiment 123), location (Straßburg), and years (1907/09), bordered on both sides by porcelain oak leaves and acorns, above the stove closes with a metal helmet cover, measuring 180 mm in length, missing the pipe, and in overall very fine condition.
