A First War German Field Honour Badge and Stickpin, Boxed with Award Document
Badge: three-piece construction, silvered bronze, bronze gilt and white enamels, marked "Deutsches Feld-Ehrenzeichen", "Hamburg 11" and "GES. GESCH." (Gesetzlich Geschützt) on the reverse, 52.3 mm x 63.8 mm, vertical pinback, pinned to his cardboard presentation card, crazing evident in the white enamels on two arms; and Stickpin: three-piece construction, silvered bronze, bronze gilt and white enamels, blackened bronze centrepiece, marked "GES. GESCH." (Gesetzlich Geschützt) on the reverse, 16.2 mm x 19.5 mm, on a 53.2 mm pin. Near extremely fine. In their cardboard carton of issue, marked "Deutsches / Feld-Ehren-Zeichen / c. B. / Hamburg 11" and "GES. GESCH." (Gesetzlich Geschützt) on the lid, maker marked "M. Fleck & Sohn Hamburg 3" on the inside lid, tears in two corners, scuffed on the exterior, carton fine. Accompanied by their Award Document (four pages, illustrating the badge, inscribed "Besikzeugnis" and numbered "No 147546" on the front panel, named to "Hugo Seidel / Landsturmmann / Eutin", stamped, dual signed and dated April 24, 1934 on the inside back panel, printed in black ink on an off-white paper stock, two punch holes on the front panel, 83 mm x 137 mm).
