An oval silver medal; the obverse depicting a steel helmet and a set of crossed swords superimposed on a German eagle, circumscribed “Frontkämpfer des Weltkrieges 1914-1918”, all within a laurel wreath; the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback, marked “DRGM” and “Ges. Gesch.” on the reverse; measuring 44.88 mm (w) x 53.08 mm (h); weighing 29.8 grams; in overall very fine condition.
