What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph 1914 Patriotic Badge: three-piece construction, in frosted silver, museum marked "110" and "170" on the reverse, illustrating the left-facing busts of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph, inscribed "TREUE" (Loyalty) above and dated "1914" below, flanked by oak leaves, all within an oval frame on a rectangular background, the outer framework illustrating clusters of oak leaves, measuring 27.2 mm (w) x 28.3 mm (h), horizontal pinback.

2. Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph Patriotic Badge: in bronze gilt, museum marked "115" on the reverse, illustrating the left-facing busts of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph, flanked by clusters of oak leaves, all within rectangular frame, with branches of oak leaves emanating from the frame at both ends, measuring 37.8 mm (w) 10.5 mm (h), mounted to a 37 mm (w) x 8.5 mm (h) silvered bronze frame with pinback.

3. Field Marshal and Statesman Paul von Hindenburg 1914-1915 Patriotic Badge: in bronze gilt with red, white, yellow and black enamels, museum marked "55" on the dimpled reverse, illustrating the front-on bust of Field Marshal and statesman Paul von Hindenburg, inscribed "v. HINDENBERG" to the right of the bust, all within a circular frame illustrating the colours of Imperial Germany at the left and the Austrian Empire at the right, the Ottoman Empire represented by a crescent moon and star on a red background above, inscribed "1914-1915" below, measuring 25 mm in diameter, horizontal pinback.

4. "God is with Us" Patriotic Badge: in bronze gilt with yellow and black enamels, in the colours of the Austrian Empire, museum marked "95" on the reverse, inscribed "GOTT MIT VNS" (Gott Mit Uns = God is with Us) within an oval frame, backed by multiple vertical stripes, measuring 37.8 mm (w) x 24 mm (h), horizontal pinback.

Intact enamels, ranging from better than very fine to extremely fine.
