Prussia, State. A Commemorative Flyer Badge, by Wilhelm Deumer
A “Flieger Erinnerungsabzeichen”; one piece construction in fire silvered hollow silver; depicting an oval wreath, with the left side in laurel leaves and the right side in oak leaves, with a ribbon at the bottom and the royal crown on the top. The interior contains an eagle in flight above a rural village, notably with rounded tail feathers, which is believed by collectors to be of Wilhelm Deumer manufacture; the reverse plain with two breather holes; a vertical pinback, with a sheet metal hinge and a round wire catch; measuring 71.66 mm x 45.37 mm; weighing 25.7 grams; extremely fine condition.
