A First War Prussian Pilot’s Badge by C. E. Juncker of Berlin
A very fine example of a Prussian Pilot’s (Flugzeugführer) badge; in stamped silver; hollow; with very fine details; the obverse with a standard pilot’s badge motive within a wreath consisting of oak and laurel leaves, with a bow on the bottom of the wreath, ordained by the Prussian crown at the top; vertical needle pinback, with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch; breather hole directly below the catch; maker marked “C. E. Juncker, Berlin”, with a crescent moon and “800” for silver content on the reverse; measuring 46.10 mm x 71.47 mm; weighing 30.2 grams; in extremely fine condition.
