A First War Prussian Pilot’s Badge by P Meybauer of Berlin
                A fine example of a Prussian Pilot’s (Flugzeugführer) badge; in stamped silvered brass; hollow; with fine details; standard pilot’s badge motive within a wreath consisting of oak and laurel leaves; a bow on the bottom of the wreath, ordained by the Prussian crown at the top; maker marked on the reverse of the crown with the stylized maker mark of “P. Meybauer, Berlin”; vertical slender pinback with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch; breather hole directly below the catch; measuring 72.21 mm x 45.40 mm; weighing 20.4 grams; with approximately 97% of its original silvering intact, with only slight loss on the pin from gentle use; in extremely fine condition.
