Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, around a central depiction of a monoplane flying over a rural landscape, the revere with a barrel hinge and vertical piback meeting a flattened pinback, the pin marked with partially-legible silver content number of either “800” or “900”, measuring 43.40 mm (w) x 70.86 mm (h), weighing 23.2 grams, in extremely fine condition.
