(Fliegerschützenabzeichen). Constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a bow tie ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, with a central German national eagle clutching a bullseye target, the reverse dual rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a raised and crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 45.50 mm (w) x 71.33 mm (h), weighing 20.5 grams, minor loss of the silver finish is evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
