Six forks (each is marked on the reverse of the upper handle with an "S" (made in Salzburg), a "W" over "MF" within a square (the manufacturer's logo: Württembergische Metallwaren Fabrik), "Patent.", "90" within a square and "45" within a diamond; the reverse of the lower handle marked with the Luftwaffe eagle above "LUFTN. AUGSBURG"; measuring 208 mm in length); six knifes (each is marked on the obverse of the blade with a "+" (plus sign) within a three-dimensional pyramid, "NIROSTA" within a capsule, a "W" over "MF" within a square (the manufacturer's logo: Württembergische Metallwaren Fabrik); obverse of the neck of the handle marked with a "W" over "MF" within a square (the manufacturer's logo: Württembergische Metallwaren Fabrik); reverse of the neck of the handle marked with a "90" within a square, "27" within a diamond; the reverse of the lower handle marked with the Luftwaffe eagle above "LUFTN. AUGSBURG"; measuring 210 mm in length). Very light contact from active use, near extremely fine. In a hardshelled case, wooden-framed, pebbled exterior, maker marked "ART. KRUPP BERNDORF" (Arthur Krupp, Berndorf) with the company's bear insignia on the inside lid, the medal for the cutlery with twelve fabric-draped slots, maroon cotton lined, dual latch closure, dual hinged, 295 mm x 320 mm x 60 mm, front cover panel is separating from the framework of the case, edge wear, the lining intact, case fair. Very scarce in solid silver. The lot (forks, spoons and knives) weighs in total 1,392 grams (or 44.75 ounces).
