Constructed of silver plated metal, the obverse featuring a scalloped border cascading toward a flat base, the latter bearing a central engraved Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, flanked by dates “26. 8. 1939 - 22. 9. 1942”, situated above an inscription of “IN KAMERADSCHAFTLICHER ERINNERUNG OFFIZIERE UND BEAMTE DES FLIEGERHORSTES KAMENZ UND DER JAGDFLIEGER-VORSCHULE 1” (“IN COMRADELY REMEMBRANCE, THE OFFICERS AND OFFICIALS OF AIRBASE KAMENZ AND FIGHTER PILOT SCHOOL 1”), in turn above the careful facsimile signatures of the aforementioned, the base maker marked with the logo of Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, measuring 42 cm (w) x 31.5 cm (l), demonstrating minor and age-appropriate tarnishing, a superb commemorative piece in extremely fine condition.
