Germany, Third Reich. A Plate from the Gästehaus Reichsparteitag, by Arthur Krupp
(Gästehaus Reichsparteitag Teller). A rare plate from the Gästehaus Reichsparteitag, constructed of Alpacca (nickel silver), the obverse featuring a plain cascading design completing with a shallow bowl, the reverse bearing the stamped logo of the Gästehaus Reichsparteitag, set above a maker’s mark of “KRUPP, BERNDORF”, flanked the logo of the firm of Arthur Krupp, measuring 224 mm in diameter, with a consistent and age-appropriate patina, in near extremely fine condition. Footnote: Located next to the Grand Hotel on Nuremberg’s Bahnhofsplatz, the Gästehaus Reichsparteitag housed high-ranking guests of the NSDAP from at home and abroad during Nuremberg Rally proceedings. Operating until 1938, it notably housed a private suite used by Hermann Göring.
