(Gästehaus Reichsparteitag Präsentierteller). A rare serving tray from the Gästehaus Reichsparteitag, constructed of Alpacca (nickel silver), the obverse consisting of an elongated oval cascading tray completing with a shallow bowl, the reverse bearing the stamped logo of the Gästehaus Reichsparteitag, with an additional maker’s mark of “GOWE” for the firm of Christian Gottlieb Wellner, Aue, and a code of “90-35” indicating nickel silver construction, measuring 318 mm (w) x 214 mm (l), with a consistent and age-appropriate patina, in near extremely fine condition. Footnote: Located next to the Grand Hotel on Nuremberg’s Bahnhofsplatz, the Gästehaus Reichsparteitag housed high-ranking guests of the NSDAP from at home and abroad during Nuremberg Rally proceedings. Operating until 1938, it notably housed a private suite used by Hermann Göring.
