A Ortsgruppenleiter Wesel German Veteran’s Association Flag/Wimpel
An unknown third reich period German flag/Wimpel - presumably belonging to the OL (Ortsgruppenleiter/Local Group Leader) of a German veteran’s association. It is constructed of multiple pieces of white, black, and red cotton; the obverse with “OL” and “Wesel” embroidered in black stitching, along with multi-coloured tresse and a twisted black/white string towards the top left corner; the reverse with a mobile swastika stitched atop a white background, with a black strip running along the top of the flag; with two clips on the pole-side of the Wimpel for attachment; unmarked; measuring 685 mm x 453 mm; lightly soiled from period use; in overall near extremely fine condition.
