Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of a depressed bowl with floral borders, with a central engraved Sturmabteilung-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, above an engraved inscription of “EHRENPREIS, GESTIFTET VON GAULEITER STAATSRAT F.K. FLORIAN, JAGDSPRINGEN KL. L., TURNIER 1938 DES SA-REITERSTURMES 7/75, DÜSSELDORF” (“HONOUR PRIZE, DONATED BY GAULEITER OF THE STATE COUNCIL F.K. FLORIAN, 1938 SHOW JUMPING TOURNAMENT OF THE MOUNTED SA 7/75, DÜSSELDORF”), the reverse edge marked with a crown and crescent moon indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “835”, and a maker’s mark of Düsseldorf silversmith “AUG. RESSING”, measuring 298 mm in diameter, weighing 593 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
