Germany, NSDAP. A Reichsleiter Fender Plate
(Reichsleiter Abzeichen für Dienstfahrzeuge). A well-preserved, post-1939 version Reichsleiter bumper plate, constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a green painted frame, surrounding a design composed of four triangular panels, with the right and left panels painted red and the top and bottom panels painted golden-yellow, overlaid by a green enameled laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by initials “RL” for Reichsleiter, the reverse with a magnetic metal stand affixed with four rivets, unmarked, measuring 160 mm (w) x 160 mm (h) (not inclusive of stand), minor loss of paint is evident to the obverse, in overall near extremely fine condition.
