Germany, NSDAP. A Silver Cigarette Case, by Gottlieb Kurz
(Silbernes Zigaretten Etui). A commemorative silver cigarette case, constructed of a two-piece polished silver frame, the lid bearing a raised NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika at the upper left corner, the interior with a light wooden lid liner and bed, opening with a lip and functional hinge, the bottom exterior stamped with a silver content number of “925”, a crown and crescent moon indicating German manufacture, and the hallmark of Gottlieb Kurz, Schwäbisch Gmünd, measuring 98 mm (w) x 85 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), weighing 94.6 grams, the wooden bed has loosened and there is some age-appropriate oxidation and scratching to the silver, in overall better than very fine condition.
