Germany, NSRKB. A Standard Bearer’s Gorget

(Nationalsozialistischer Reichskriegerbund Ringkragen für Fahnenträger). Constructed of plated aluminum, the obverse bearing a central applique consisting of standard flags surrounding a wreathed and enameled National Socialist Reich Warriors Association (NSRKB) insignia, topped at both corners by gilded bronze studs, each connected to a reverse rivet accommodating a multi-link bronze neck chain, with the links featuring alternating swastika and Iron Cross designs, the reverse retaining an intact dark navy blue wool liner, stamped with a mark of “3” on the chain prong, otherwise unmarked, measuring 168 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), minor scratching is visible to the base metal and the NSRKB insignia demonstrates minor chipping and has loosened from its rivet while remaining attached, in overall very fine condition.
