(Allach Elefant, Sitzend). A SS-Allach sitting elephant figurine, constructed of glossed white porcelain, the animal with its hind legs folded and front legs partially extended, with its trunk raised and mouth open, the exceptionally detailed texture showing anatomically-correct skin folds, the bottom marked with stylized SS runes and an inscription of “ALLACH”, with a depressed maker’s mark of “TH. KÄRNER” for Professor Theodor Kärner, an example featured in the 1938/1939 Allach catalogue, measuring 86 mm (l) x 70 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
