Germany, Third Reich. A Nuremberg Rally Commemorative Stein, by L. Ostermayr
(Nürnberg Reichsparteitag Bierkrug). A very well-preserved Nuremberg Rally commemorative stein, constructed of glazed off-white earthenware, the exterior bearing a hand-painted blue skyline of the city of Nuremberg with a focus on the castle and surrounding buildings, circumscribed by an inscription of “NÜRNBERG - DIE STADT DER REICHSPARTEITAGE” (“NUREMBERG - THE CITY OF THE REICH PARTY DAYS (NUREMBERG RALLIES)”, featuring a protruding and rounded handle, flanked by an etched measurement o “0,5 L.”, the base etched with a maker’s mark of “L. OSTERMAYR, NÜRNBERG” for the porcelain and glassware firm founded by Johann Nepomuk Ostermayr, measuring 95 mm (w) (exclusive of handle) x 124 mm (h), with two holes visible to the top of the handle indicating lid removal and with some discoloration evident, the stein otherwise presents free of cracks or chips and is in a near extremely fine condition.
