Germany, Third Reich. A Small Table Cloth from the Führer’s Residence
(Tischtuch). A unique table cloth retrieved from an official residence of the Führer, constructed of white linen, the obverse bearing a faint machine-embroidered border pattern consisting of a stylized banner interspersed with flowers, with one corner bearing a raised NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by initials “AH”, unmarked, measuring 62.5 cm (w) x 66 cm (l), with minor soiling evident, an unusual and scarce item in near extremely fine condition.
