Germany, Third Reich. A Commemorative AH Wall Plaque, with Landeshauptmann Heinz Haake Dedication
(AH Erinnerungsplakette). Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and detailed leftward-facing profile of AH, above an inscription of “DIE VORAUSSETZUNG ZUR TAT IST DER WILLE UND DER MUT ZUR WAHRHAFTIGKEIT” (“THE PREREQUISITE FOR DOING IS THE WILL AND COURAGE OF TRUTHFULNESS”), with an additional etched inscription of “IN ANERKENNUNG LANGJÄHR. TREUE DIENSTE FÜR DIE RHEIN.-PROV.-VERWALTUNG - HEINZ HAAKE” (“IN RECOGNITION OF LONG YEARS OF SERVICE FOR THE RHINE PROVINCE ADMINISTRATION - HEINZ HAAKE”), the reverse with a suspension loop, marked of “F. VOGEL” and “W. BARMEN”, and an additional raised dedication, measuring 95 mm (w) x 140 mm (h), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a padded grey cotton lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a removable depressed medal bed of identical construction, opening with dual functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 145 mm (w) x 190 mm (l) x 26 mm (h), the case is missing its snap button closure and demonstrates some material fatigue, in overall better than very fine condition.
