Germany, Third Reich. A Nuremberg Rally Commemorative Pewter Plate
(Reichsparteitag Zinnteller). Constructed of pewter, the obverse consisting of a depressed and finely-detailed depiction of Nuremberg Castle and surrounding skyline, circumscribed by an inscription of “NÜRNBERG, STADT DER REICHSPARTEITAGE” (“NUREMBERG, CITY OF THE REICH PARTY DAYS/NUREMBERG RALLY”), in turn surrounded by raised shields bearing the logos of major Third Reich organizations, including the NSDAP, Sturmabteilung, National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK), German Labour Front (DAF), National Socialist Women’s League (NS-Frauenschaft), HJ, Reich Labour Service (RAD), National Socialist Motor Korps (NSKK), and Schutzstaffel (SS), the reverse with a non-magnetic metal suspension loop, the obverse with an illegible maker’s mark, measuring 20 cm in diameter, demonstrating a consistent patina throughout, in near extremely fine condition.
