A National Socialist Motor Corps Enlisted Man's Side Cap

(Nationalsocialistisches Kraftfahr-Korps = NSKK): Constructed with a black wool exterior, fold down panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides, each panel with hooks and held in place via eyelets on either side, sewn in place on the left side is a machine embroidered NSKK inverted triangular insignia in aluminum wire with light blue and black embroidery, illustrating an eagle sitting, its talons gripping a wreath swastika below, with a ribbon banner above inscribed "NSKK", two silvered aluminum buttons on the front with the NSKK insignia, each button maker marked "UE 82" flanked by the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia on the left and a swastika on the right on the reverse, the inside lined in a black cotton/rayon blend, stamped in white ink "2" on the left side, 115 mm x 295 mm, better than extremely fine.
