What's a max bid?

Germany, Third Reich. An Early Sturmabteilung (SA) Kepi

(Sturmabteilung Käppi). An example of an early-style SA kepi, this light-brown cap features stitched sidewalls and a well-preserved leather chin strap which rests upon the protruding visor. The chinstrap is composed of two pieces: the two ends are held together via a rectangular metal loop in the centre, with each strap having its own adjustable buckle and is held in place on the sides by dark-brown posts. A dark-brown leather sweatband spans the circumference of the interior and is held in place by stitching. Reinforced ventilation holes are present on each side of the kepi, while an early Party Eagle (“Parteiadler”) is pinned to the front, displaying a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. This kepi measures 245 mm (l) x 195 mm (w), with an interior depth of 88 mm. A well-worn example, there is some tearing which has exposed the slightly-cracked cardboard lining of the sides, as well as cracking of the cardboard visor and interior sweatband. The kepi is also missing an emblem formerly pinned underneath the Parteiadler. Otherwise intact, this item is in an overall fair condition.
