A Mint Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Administrative Official’s Overseas Side Cap

This is an example of a mint Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Administrative Official’s overseas side cap, constructed of field-grey wool, with fold-down side and back panels, with gently sloping downward scallops toward the front and sides. The crown and frontward facing sides feature silver aluminum bullion piping, with a textbook Wehrmacht cap eagle at the front, constructed of silvery and green machine embroidery. Directly below the eagle is a dark green machine woven soutache, with a tri-colour cockade within it. All insignia are machine stitched to the cap and appear to be original to this cap. The interior of the cap is fully lined with a well preserved black rayon-blended fabric, without a sweatband, or markings of any kind. The cap measures 265 mm x 100 mm, in mint and unissued condition.
