A Panzergrenadiertroops Officer’s M38 Overseas Cap

Cap is constructed of fine quality field-grey colored wool and rayon mixture material, with standard fold-down side panels, while the front of the cap features scalloped slopes. These forward panels and top edges are topped with interwoven silvery/aluminum flat wires. Just below the top edges are two metal ventilation grommets (magnetic), one on each side. Front of the cap features fine quality Wehrmacht eagle, in silvery/aluminum wires, superimposed on thick green backing, and nicely hand-stitched to the cap; below the eagle is three colored Officer’s grade cockade, constructed of silvery wires and fabric; the cockade is flanked, in an inverted shaped "V", by a meadow-green colored rayon (waffenfarbe) soutache, representing Panzergrenadiertroops. The interior of the cap is fully lined in ribbed, field-grey cotton-rayon mixture material, while the front section features a leather sweatband (slightly ripped). Inside of the cap has only one visible stamp “57”. Overall, a very fine quality Officer’s cap, in lightly worn condition, no imperfections on the exterior, overall in extremely fine condition.
