Germany, Heer. An Army DAK Tropical Overseas Cap
(Feldmütze). A Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Tropical Overseas Cap constructed of olive coloured cotton, with fold-down side and back panels with aggressively sloping downward scallops towards the front, the front of the cap features a machine embroidered tropical eagle that is factory-stitched to the cap, with a machine embroidered tricolour (black, white, red) cocade directly beneath, both sides of the cap feature brown enamelled rivets functioning as air vents, the interior of the cap is fully lined with a bright red cotton/rayon-blend fabric, and features multiple stamps, including the size stamp is “53” with an additional stamp of the number “1142” as well as the maker’s stamp “Hans Brandt, Mützenfabrik, Magdeburg-N, Ritterstraße, 12-15,” the cap measures 26.5 cm (w) x 9.75 cm (h) (folded), shows a large rip to the left side and other small tears throughout, and in overall fair condition.
