(Heer Panzergrenadier Feldmütze). An extremely well-preserved Heer Panzergrenadier officer’s M38 pattern overseas cap, constructed of high-quality field-grey wool, with fold-down scallops to the front and side, the crown, and the front edges of the scalloped side panels feature embroidered silver aluminum piping, while the top also bears dual ventilation holes reinforced with magnetic metal eyelets, stitched into the peak of the cap is an insignia in the form of a Wehrmacht-style eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, constructed of machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire on a green thread background, underneath the eagle is a grass green soutache, indicating Panzer Grenadiers, above a Wehrmacht-style tri-colour cockade constructed of machine-embroidery on a green rayon backer, the interior front has a grey leather sweatband, securely held in place by machine-stitching, the interior is lined with a grey cotton lining, marked with the size 58, measuring 30 cm (w) x 10.8 cm (h), as folded, and in better than extremely fine condition.
