Constructed of field-grey wool, featuring a fold-down panel fully lining the circumference, with a band of silver aluminum wire fully lining the crown and the front of the paneling, the peak bearing a BeVo-style silver aluminum wire Wehrmacht eagle on a forest green rayon backer, measuring 65 mm (w) x 26 mm (h), underneath the eagle is a tri-colour cockade constructed of silver aluminum wire with a red felt centerpiece, measuring 22 mm in diameter, in turn set within a forest green soutache, flanked on each side by a ventilation hole with a zink reinforcement, the interior with a complete golden-yellow rayon liner, with a label bearing an owner’s name of “STROHMAIER”, otherwise unmarked, measuring 298 mm (l) x 120 mm (h), minor soiling is evident to the interior liner, otherwise in near extremely fine condition.
