What's a max bid?

Germany. A Mountain Police Officer’s M43 Field Cap

Constructed of fine quality field-gray wool, with fold-down panels and rounded scallops to the front and forward sides, covering the entire neck on the sides and rear when in use. When not in use, the panels are raised with their ends resting upon the visor, being joined together via two pebbled aluminum buttons. The crown of the cap is ordained by silver aluminum bullion embroidered piping to indicate the rank of officer. The visor is reinforced with cardboard, and covered in matching green wool. Sewn in place on the left side is a Gebirgstruppen cap Edelweiss flower, constructed of silvered feinzink. Sewn in place in the front of the cap is a is a cloth cap badge depicting the standard police logo embroidered in gray and a tri-colour national cockade. The interior of the cap is lined with green rayon-silk blended fabric throughout. It measures 190 mm (w) x 243 mm (h). It is lightly worn and depicts light sweat stains on the interior from period wear. In overall better than extremely fine condition.
