Germany, Heer. A Panzer EM/NCO’s M35 Field Cap
(Heer Schiffchen M35 für Männer der Panzertruppe). An extremely well-preserved Heer Panzer EM/NCO’s M35 overseas cap, constructed of black whipcord wool. The cap is surrounded by fold-down side walls which are scalloped toward the front, and is flanked on each side by ventilation holes reinforced with zink grommets. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of black rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 74 mm (w) x 32 mm (h) overall. Directly below the eagle, the centre of the walls features a machine-embroidered tri-colour cockade set onto a black rayon backer measuring 38 mm (w) x 38 mm (h). The interior is fully encompassed by a black cotton-blended liner which is fully unmarked. It measures approximately 29 cm (l) x 12 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Demonstrating only minor material fatigue, it is in an overall extremely fine condition.
