What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Germany, HJ. A HJ Summer Cap

(HJ-Sommermütze). A very well-preserved HJ summer cap, constructed of light brown cotton cloth. It is fully surrounded by decorative fold-down side panels, securely held in place by two rows of machine stitching. The panels are trimmed around the circumference with a band of red piping, indicting General HJ personnel. Stitched onto the peak of the cap is an insignia in the form of a white machine-embroidered HJ-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. The eagle measures 35 mm (w) 30 mm (h). Pinned onto the cap underneath the eagle is a HJ insignia, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, secured with a vertical pinback. The insignia is marked on the reverse with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and measures 14 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). The interior of the cap features a brown leather sweatband, measuring 35 mm in width, secured in place by a row of machine stitching. A black ink size stamp of “54” is visible on the crown. Underneath the sweatband, the cap retains an intact RZM label, clearly bearing a maker’s code of “10” and a secondary code of “371150”. The cap measures approximately 470 mm (l) x 98 mm (h) when folded. Minor material fatigue and soiling is evident, and it is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
