What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Deutsche Reichsbahn Employee Feldmütze Overseas Cap

A very fine German National Employee’s field cap; constructed of black wool, with the crown and side panels trimmed with bright red rayon piping. The front center of the field cap features a single insignia with a machine woven national eagle with stretched-out wings, clutching onto an oak wreath with a swastika in the center. It is woven in golden-yellow threads with a national tri-colour (black-white-red) cockade directly beneath, all with a dark blue threaded background on a black backer. The insignia is original to the cap and appears to be hand stitched to the cap. The interior of the cap is lined with a champagne-coloured rayon liner, with a black maker stamp “7” on one of the sides. The cap measures 266 mm x 107 mm (folded). Very clean and complete example with only some very minor flaws to the outside liner due to age and wear. The insignia in the front center is slightly frayed. Overall near extremely fine condition.
