Germany, Feuerschutzpolizei. An Enlisted Personnel Overseas Cap, by Franz Ritter
(Feuerschutzpolizei Schiffchen). An extremely well-preserved Feuerschutzpolizei Enlisted Personnel overseas cap, constructed of dark blue wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side panels, with the peak bearing an insignia in the form of a dark blue cotton trapezoidal patch overlaid by a machine-embroidered Ordnungspolizei-style German national eagle. The interior features a complete field-grey cotton liner, stamped with a black ink maker’s mark of “FRANZ RITTER, DETTINGEN”, a date of “1940”, and a size of “56”. It also bears a rose-pink name in cursive script. The cap measures 275 mm (l) x 130 mm (h). It is in an overall extremely fine condition.
