What's a max bid?

(Allgemeine-SS EM/NCO Schirmmütze). An absolutely superb example in original purchase case. Constructed of black wool, with a whipcord weave, black cap band, with white wool waffenfarbe piping along the top crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the cap band, the front centre of the cap features a second pattern, silvered, stamped allow SS-style national eagle, with out-stretched wings, clutching a wreathed, mobile swastika, below is a first pattern silvered tombac jawless Totenkopf, the cap includes a blackened leather chinstrap with two black-painted sliding rectangular length-adjustment buckles, and a central rectangular sheet metal joining clip, secured in place by two, small black-painted smooth metal buttons, the cap has a black lacquered Vulkanfibre visor with a raised lip near the forward edge, and it is coloured orange-brown on the underside with a subtle, repeating diamond pattern, marked with a black ink stamped SS runes with the initials RZM, the interior of the cap is fully lined with an orange-brown oil cloth to the crown and orange-brown cheesecloth to the body, the crown lining has the original, clear celluloid sweat diamond fully intact, below is well-marked with a gilt printed, circular bordered, outline of the SS runes encompassed by a second circular border, below that is a rectangular tag embroidered in white thread to read VOM REICHSFÜHRER SS BEFOHLENE AUSFÜHRUNG (ORDERED BY THE REICHSFÜHRER 22), the interior of the cap also features a wide, orange-brown sweatband with an underlying orange foam rubber pad to the front forehead section, the inside displays a black, oilcloth RZM/SS tag with the designation TUCHMÜTZE FÜR SS (CLOTH CAP FOR SS), and Hersteller (Manufacturer), the manufacturer's number stamp beside faded, inscribed Gesetz vom 20.12. 1934 / Uniformteile müssen sichtbar das Schutzzeichen der RZM der NSDAP. Bekanntmachung vom 16. 1. 1935 (Law of 20.12. 1934 / Uniform parts must be visible with the protection mark of the RZM of the NSDAP. Order of 16 January 1935) above Reichszeugmeisterei der NSDAP. Nr. A and number stamped 022771, the cap measuring 24 cm (w) x 27 cm (l) x 15.5 cm (h). Accompanied by black-lacquered hard hat box.
