1887 Saxon Cross for the Election of Prince Ferdinand I; Maltese Cross in silver gilt; the obverse with stippled arms and fleur-de-lys between the arms, circular central medallion bearing the cipher of Ferdinand I, circumscribed “БОЖИЯ И НАРОДНА ВОЛЯ” (By the will of the Prince and the People); the reverse with a circular central medallion bearing the Saxon coat of arms, inscribed “25 ЮЛІЙ 2 АВГУСТЪ 1887” (25 July 2 August 1887); claw with loop for suspension; original ribbon; measuring 48 mm x 41 mm; in original case of issue with maker markings in top lid; some gilt wear and light soiling on ribbon; ribbon missing closure, very fine condition.
