(Alexander Carl Denkmünze). Instituted on 8 May 1853. Constructed of gilt bronze, the obverse depicting the Anhalt coat of arms between an open-ended wreath consisting of laurel and oak leaves, the reverse inscribed Alexander Carl centrally, dated 1848-1849, circumscribed Seinen braven Kriegern für unterschütterliche treue (German - To its brave warriors for unyielding loyalty), measuring 29.77 mm in diameter, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, and in very fine condition.
