(Silbernes allgemeines Kreuz für weiblich Personen). Instituted 1883 by Grand Duchess Luise. (1883-1915 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original neck ribbon, consisting of a Latin Cross, the obverse with raised borders, the reverse with a silver content mark of “800” and a mark of “L.B.” for an unidentified maker, measuring 48.28 mm (w) x 72.35 mm (h), weighing 21.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
