Baden, Grand Duchy. A Medal for Workers and Servants, c.1905
(Medaille für Arbeiter und Dienstboten). Instituted 11 November 1895 by Grand Duke Friedrich I. (1895-1918 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a raised leftward-facing profile of Grand Duke Friedrich, circumscribed by name and title, within a laurel wreath, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE ARBEIT” (“FOR FAITHFUL LABOUR”), surrounded by decorative designs, unmarked, measuring 34.50 mm in diameter, weighing 25.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
