(Jubiläumsmedaille für Hebammen nach 25 Dienstjahren). Instituted Oktober 1884 by Grand Duchess Luise. (1884-1917 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original neck ribbon, consisting of a stylized oval border, with a central winged cherub’s head above a scroll with a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUEN DIENST” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), the reverse with an etched recipient’s name of “ELFRIEDE MAHNKE”, measuring 35.74 mm (w) x 52.38 mm (h), weighing 25.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
