What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Baden, Grand Duchy. An Officer’s Long Service Class, II Class, Type II Miniature

(Dienstauszeichnung II. Klasse für Offiziere, Miniatur). Instituted 18 February 1831 by Grand Duke Leopold. (1854-1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with pebbled arms, overlaid by a silver Baden griffin clutching a sword and shield bearing the Grand Duchy’s coat of arms, unmarked, measuring 23.18 mm (w) x 26.45 mm (h), weighing 6.3 grams, with the griffin’s details rubbed flat with age, in overall near extremely fine condition.
