Baden, Grand Duchy. A Volunteer War Aid Cross 1914-1916

(Kreuz für freiwillige Kriegshilfe 1914-1916). Instituted on 24 December 1915. A cross pattée constructed of gilded war metal, the obverse centre presents a Geneva cross, on the cross arms are a crown, coat of arms and the dates 1914 1916, the reverse centre presents the crowned letter F, measuring 39.15 mm (w) x 39.26 mm (h), presenting heavy loss of gilt, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in very fine condition.
