(Luitpold Kreuz für 40 Jahre im Staats- und Gemeindedienst). 1911 Issue. A straight-armed cross paty constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse centre bears the left-facing portrait of Prince Regent Luitpold, circumscribed by name and title “LVITPOLD PRINZ- REGENT VON BAYERN” (LUITPOLD PRINCE REGENT OF BAYERN), the reverse centre bears the inscription “FVR EHREN-VOLLE VIERZIG DIENSTES JAHRE (FOR AN HONOURABLE FORTY YEARS OF SERVICE), the 12 o’clock arm bears a crown, the 9 o’clock arm bears “12”, the 3 o’clock amr bears “MARZ” (MARCH), the 6 o’clock arm bears “1911”, measuring 36.60 mm (w) x 40.94 mm (h), weighing 20.4 g, with suspension ring on a purple ribbon with blue stripes, very fine.
