(Landwehr-Dienstauszeichnung I. Klasse). Instituted 21 January 1876 by King Ludwig II. (1876-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with a central raised monogram of King Ludwig II, the reverse with a raised number “20” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 38.49 mm (w) x 40.32 mm (h), weighing 23.3 grams, in better than very fine condition.
