What's a max bid?

Bavaria, Kingdom. An 1870 Military Campaign Medal Bar

(Ordenschnalle). A medal bar with two decorations, including an 1866 Campaign Cross, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Ruppert Cross, the obverse with a central Bavarian lion ramp inside of an oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a central date of “1866” inside of an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 36.79 mm (w) x 40.32 mm (h), in very fine condition, and; a War Commemorative Medal of 1870/71, constructed of magnetic metal, on loop from its period original ribbon with “METZ” campaign clasp, the obverse with a central royal monogram above an inscription of “Für Pflichttreue im Kriege” (“For Loyalty in War”), circumscribed by an inscription of “Gott war mit uns, Ihm sei die Ehre” (“God was with us, to Him the honour”), the reverse with an Iron Cross overlaid by dates “1870-1871” inside of an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 29 mm in diameter, in very fine condition; both set on a 75 mm-long bar with a horizontal pinback, in very fine condition.
