A Maltese cross with gilt bronze and pebbled finals and white enameled arms; the obverse with a central enameled medallion in the traditional chequered pattern with a rampant gilt Bavarian lion on the obverse, surrounded by a black ring of enamels, inscribed “Bayerischer Kriegerbund - 20 Jahre in Treue Fest” in capital letters; vertical pinback, with a functional hinge/catch assembly; marked “Deschler, München” on the reverse; measuring 48.58 mm (w) x 56.98 mm (h); weighing 29.1 grams; in overall better than fine condition.
